Welcome to Valdeltormo / La Vall del Tormo

Immerse yourself in the history and charm of Valdeltormo, a gem of the Matarraña region with a millennial past and a vibrant future.

Welcome to Valdeltormo

With roots stretching back to the Late Bronze Age and the Iron Age, the municipal territory of Valdeltormo holds archaeological secrets at sites such as the Tossal de Santa Bárbara and Iberian-period sites including Les Torrasses, el Cerrau, Los Trullets and la Torre Cremada.

In the Middle Ages, the Crown of Aragon took possession of this village in 1168, and it formed part of the parish of Valjunquera until it was made independent in 1407. For much of its history, Valdeltormo belonged to the Order of Calatrava.

With the arrival of the early modern period, the village prospered rapidly, as reflected in the construction of its current church, a witness to the growth of its population.

Although it went through turbulent times in its more recent history, this community is rising again, welcoming visitors with open arms to share its rich history and charm. Explore and discover its legacy!
