Route description
The path sets off from La Portellada, along the road towards Fórnoles. About 500 metres from the village, a P.R. waymark indicates the turn-off onto the track.
This route, linking the villages of La Portellada and Fórnoles, runs almost entirely through woodland and includes a short detour to admire the hermitage of San Antonio, also known as the Cueva de San Antón, hidden beneath a large rock.
Following this trail, you begin climbing along an old drover's road (cañada) that was once used to move livestock and pack animals between villages. This cañada leads to a track that you follow until you find a new P.R. waymark, which points to a new trail section leading to a track that descends into Fórnoles.
Here begins a descent to the bottom of a ravine, from where you climb again between cultivated terraces (olive and almond trees) until you reach Fórnoles.
