VENTA D´AUBERT

In 1986, "Venta d'Aubert" was rediscovered and brought back to life by a Swiss couple. The land was largely uncultivated at the time, with plots of almond and olive trees, grazing land and an old vineyard of white Grenache grapes trained in the Gobelet style. In 1986, new vineyards were planted with different grape varieties to produce red and white wine. In 1995, a new winery was built with all the technical facilities for fully autonomous production, and in 2001 it was expanded to meet growing demand. The "Venta d'Aubert" estate covers 62 ha, of which 18 ha are currently planted with vines. The vineyards are located next to the winery. They grow in clay and limestone soils and are exposed to a Mediterranean and semi-continental climate, which promotes their development in a very positive way. The vines are dry-farmed, which is the traditional cultivation method in our region. Only estate-grown grapes, harvested by hand, are used in the wines. The aim is to cover every stage of the product: from the vineyard through the barrel to the final bottle. The vineyards have been cultivated according to organic principles for 15 years. Since the 2013 harvest, they have been certified by the Aragonese Committee for Organic Agriculture as an organic winery — both for vine growing and for winery production.
