Matarraña cycling network

More than 830 kilometres of signposted routes to explore the Matarraña region by mountain bike, with 24 MTB routes and the Val de Zafán Greenway (Vía Verde).

Matarraña cycling network

Make the most of our comarca's road network and pedal at your own pace. Thanks to its rural character, the Matarraña has a rich web of tracks and paths ideal for cycling, whatever your level. If you have a sporting spirit, you can push your own limits here on endless days out. Or do you prefer an accessible excursion with your partner, friends and family? And why not take advantage of your stay in our comarca to introduce the youngest members of the household to the art of cycling on easy, safe routes?

More than 830 kilometres of signposted trails

We have turned our territory into a paradise for active cycling tourism. The Matarraña cycling network has itineraries across our geography, structured into two sectors: BTT-TE-03, with its ten routes, will lead you to discover the centre-north area, while the BTT-TE-04 sector, with 14 routes, unfolds across the southern end.

The initiative involved an investment of 90,000 euros by the Comarca del Matarraña using FITE funds (Fondo de Inversiones de Teruel). The project brings together contributions from Wildtrack Matarraña, the Proyecto Sierras Matarraña, the company Do Sport (responsible for signposting the routes) and the town councils of Mazaleón, Peñarroya de Tastavins, Fuentespalda, Ráfales, Monroyo, Torre de Arcas and Valderrobres.

Corona del Matarraña

You can also enjoy the Corona del Matarraña, the itinerary that connects all the villages along a route covering more than 200 kilometres, offering you an authentic journey into the heart of the Matarraña. It is designed as a challenge for experienced cyclists.

Family cycling: Val de Zafán Greenway (Vía Verde)

And as we mentioned, we have not forgotten family, relaxed and safe cycling: we guarantee that a trip along the Val de Zafán Greenway (Vía Verde) will hook you on the enticing experience of contemplative cycling.
