FEAST OF SANT ANTÓN IN BECEITE, LA FRESNEDA, VALDELTORMO AND VALDERROBRES
About this event
The festive calendar opens with the feast of Sant Antoni, a festival of tourist interest in Aragón. Most villages mark the day with the lighting of bonfires, the blessing of animals and offerings or "plegas" of typical local produce.
Programme of events for the celebration of the feast of Sant Antoni on January 16th and 17th in Beceite, La Fresneda, Valdeltormo and Valderrobres.
Tuesday, 16/01/2024
- 5:00 p.m. Bonfire lighting at the "Riu de les Bases".
- 8:00 p.m. Distribution of chorizo, longaniza, panceta, bread, drinks and casquetes at the bonfire. Ticket €5 (donation towards the Sant Antoni celebration), available at the bonfire or in advance at the Town Hall.
- 9:00 p.m. Raffle of the Sant Antón plega lots.
- 11:00 p.m. Musical evening in the ground floor of the Palau with a performance by the duo Calibra.

- 1:00 p.m. Mass in honour of Sant Antoni Abad.
Tuesday, 16/01/2024
- 7:00 p.m. Bonfire lighting and the exit of the "Diablets".
- 8:00 p.m. Snack, followed by bingo.

- 10:00 a.m. Procession of the Saint to the Plaza Mayor.
- 10:45 a.m. Blessing of the animals and return of the Saint.
- 11:00 a.m. Mass in honour of the Saint at the Capilla del Pilar.
- 12:00 p.m. Sale of 'brazos' at La Lonja.
- 6:00 p.m. Snack, exit of the "Diablets" and raffle.

- 12:00 p.m. Mass in honour of Sant Antoni.
Tuesday, 16/01/2024
- 11:00 p.m. Traditional bonfire in honour of Sant Antón, enlivened by the Charanga SSB. Casquetas, coca, calmante and mistela will be served, with the presence of the diableras.
Wednesday, 17/01/2024
- 8:00 a.m. Breakfast with chorizo, longaniza and panceta. At the Plaza de la Comunidad Autónoma de Aragón.
- 11:00 a.m. Procession with the Saint and distribution of blessed bread. Accompanied by the rondalla.
- 11:30 a.m. Baturra mass at the Iglesia Parroquial Santa María La Mayor. At the end of the mass, at the Plaza de España, the traditional blessing of animals and the Sant Antón sayings will take place.
- 5:00 p.m. Traditional offering; casquetas and calmante will be served. At the lonja.
