Natural spaces

The Matarraña region is a territory where nature is part of the experience from the very first moment.
Mountains, rivers, forests and farmland coexist in a varied landscape that can be explored easily and at close range. It is not an isolated environment, but a living territory where the landscape and human activity remain connected.

A diverse landscape

Within just a few kilometres, the surroundings change noticeably.

To the south, the Puertos de Beceite massif concentrates the most mountainous areas, with rugged terrain, forests and spaces of great ecological value.
In other areas, the landscape opens up to reveal traditional crops, with olive trees, almond trees and dry stone terraces that are part of the identity of the territory.

Rivers such as the Matarraña River and the Algars River cross the comarca and create very distinctive spaces: swimming spots, well-preserved riverside stretches and small corners where you can stop and rest.
