Casa Gran in Torre del Compte

Explore the history and architecture of one of the most emblematic buildings in Torre del Compte, with its distinctive façade and traditional features.

This building is constructed in ashlar masonry and arranged in three sections or floors. Above the keystone of its access arch, the date 1625 can be seen, and on the sundial of its façade, that of 1710. A beautiful wooden celosía screens one of the openings on its main floor. And above its façade, the torreón-lucernario of its staircase stands out.

Details of the main floor of Casa Gran

On the main floor of the building, windows open with jambaje and moulded sill. At the centre of this floor, a balcony with a moulded stone projection and ironwork stands out, adding a decorative element to the façade.
