Casa Manolet: a journey through time in Torre de Arcas

Casa Manolet is a building with a rich history spanning several centuries in the heart of Torre de Arcas, Matarraña. Originally built in the 14th or 15th century, the house underwent various extensions and refurbishments over the years. This building initially served as a dwelling and stables for cavalry, with the main floor (piano nobile) on the first floor, reflecting the customs of the time.

An interesting architectural feature of this house is the niche on its facade, which in the past housed a chapel dedicated to the Virgin of Carmel, showing the deep religious connection of historic buildings. Also notable is the use of indigo on the facade, a common custom at the time that gave it a distinctive colour and additional properties.
