Located in the town of Ráfales, making use of former abandoned farmland, springs and caves, this botanical garden brings together nearly 100 trees and shrubs found in Aragón, as well as 50 medicinal plants. The Botanical Garden is divided into three zones. Zone A: Plants of Aragón. This area contains trees and shrubs from Aragón, covering nearly 90% of the species found throughout the region. Zone B: Medicinal plants. This sunnier area gathers some of the aromatic and medicinal plants of the Matarraña region that for many years served as the local "medicine chest" for the inhabitants of this territory. Zone C: Rocky outcrops. An area dedicated to rocky-outcrop habitats. A cave and magnificent views of the town of Ráfales round off the garden visit. Access is free of charge.
