The Parrizal Natural Area is located 6 km from Beceite. To get there, starting from the village entrance, you first cross the town following the signs for 'Parrissal'. The first sign is in the Plaza de Santa Ana, 100 metres from the tourist office. From there, after 1 km through the streets, a country track leads directly to the Parrizal car park, known as Parking no. 3. The country track is paved along most of its 6 km; it is narrow, two-way and has no pedestrian verge. All told, you will have covered about 7 km, whether on foot, by bicycle or by vehicle (car, motorbike or motorhome). The Parrizal route is regulated; to use the car park you must show your ticket at the checkpoint — purchased in advance through the online booking platform. Once at the nature area car park, beyond a chain that blocks vehicle access, a 800-metre walk along a dirt path begins. Throughout this pleasant walk the Parrizal Natural Area showcases its botanical diversity through a short nature trail. Along this same freely accessible stretch stand the Fenellassa cave paintings (3,500 BC), belonging to schematic rock art and declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After 800 metres, a wooden walkway signals the start of the Parrissal Route. From this point the path follows the River Matarraña upstream. Accompanied by the sound of water and nature, the trail winds through wooded paths and wooden walkways to avoid any contact with the water at all times. During the walk, we invite you to look up and admire the potholes — a geological formation produced by erosion. Finally, after approximately one hour and about 3 km of walking, you reach the majestic 'Estrets del Parrissal' (Straits of Parrizal), a canyon some 200 metres long whose vertical walls rise approximately 60 metres and stand just 1.5 metres apart. This stretch of gorge is passable only in summer, when it is dry and can be crossed. For the rest of the year the route ends at the entrance to the canyon. Once this point is reached, you return along the same path. Dogs and other animals are not permitted.
