Matarranya-Algars Camino Natural (nature trail)

The stretch of the Matarranya-Algars Camino Natural (nature trail), at 68 km, links the source of the Matarraña River in Beceite to the town of Maella. This trail follows the river course and forms part of a more ambitious 205 km project that will cross the Matarraña, Bajo Aragón Caspe and Terra Alta comarcas, offering a circular hiking and MTB experience.

The stretch of the Matarranya-Algars Camino Natural (nature trail) is 68 km long, linking the source of the Matarraña River (in the municipality of Beceite) to the town of Maella, following the river course.

This Camino Natural is planned for expansion in three phases. The current phase, already completed, is part of an itinerary that will cover 205 kilometres and cross the comarcas of Matarraña (Teruel), Bajo Aragón Caspe (Zaragoza) and Terra Alta (Tarragona). The full itinerary will be circular, starting and finishing in Beceite, passing through towns such as Calaceite, Cretas, La Fresneda, Mazaleón, Torre del Compte, Valdeltormo, Valderrobres and Maella (phase 1); Fabara, Nonaspe, Fayón (phase 2, planned); and Caseres, Arens de Lledó and Arnes (phase 3, planned).
