Route description
The starting point is the 'starPoint-Peñarroya1300', situated next to the car park on Calle Aragón at the entrance to Peñarroya de Tastavins. The route is waymarked and begins along an asphalted track towards the municipal swimming pools. At approximately 2 km we reach the area of the 'Granges del Lino', a private estate consisting of a farmhouse and terraced fields — a typical scene of the Matarraña.
The route continues along a pleasant path until it meets the junction with the GR7 (the long-distance trail running from Andorra to the Strait of Gibraltar). The path then follows a pleasant trail alongside the Tastavins river, a tributary of the Matarraña river.
Another landmark along the route is the Sanctuary of the Virgen de la Fuente, declared a national monument in 1931. The final stretch of the route covers 500 metres along a road and then a path passing through the Font dels Avellanars area, close to the village.
