Route description
A route from the village of La Fresneda to the monastery of the Virgen de Gracia. The starting point is the Town Hall square in La Fresneda; pass through the Portal de Xifré, then 50 metres further on turn left, following the signposts for the Monastery of the Virgen de Gracia. Keep to the main track and the signposts and/or the white-and-yellow PR waymarks indicating the direction to the Monastery. The route follows a forest track used by motor vehicles; the landscape has been considerably shaped by human activity, with plantations of almond trees and olive trees.
After roughly 5 km you will reach the ruins of the Sanctuary of the Virgen de Gracia, an 18th-century hermitage.
