Escodines Altes y Baixes de Mazaleón
Two Iberian archaeological sites located 100 m apart near Mazaleón, with occupation in the 8th–7th centuries BC. Escodines Altes stands atop a hill overlooking the Matarraña River; Escodines Baixes extends in a row along a sandstone rock ledge, with a circular or solar bas-relief on one of the slabs.

Location and access
To reach these two settlements, which are located very close to each other, take a signposted track found shortly before arriving at Mazaleón on the A-1412 road from the N-420. To get from Escodines Altes to Escodines Baixes, always take the path on the left-hand side.
The sites
These are two archaeological sites located barely 100 metres apart. Their layout adapts to the terrain. At Escodines Altes there is a small cluster of dwellings on top of a small hill on the left bank of the Matarraña River; at Escodines Baixes, a row of rectangular dwellings extends along a sandstone rock ledge. On one of the large slabs of a house wall there is a circular or solar bas-relief. Their elevated position overlooking the Matarraña River gives them great control over the surrounding territory, as well as a magnificent natural defence. Their occupation is dated to the 8th–7th centuries BC.
