Guirlache
Crunchy almond nougat, a traditional speciality of the Matarraña region.
Ingredients
- To taste
Three glasses of Marcona almonds broken into pieces
- To taste
Three glasses of sugar
STEPS COMPLETED
Put the almonds and the sugar in a frying pan
Stir the mixture until the sugar dissolves completely, turning into caramel and forming a compact mass with the almonds
As soon as the mixture is ready, pour it onto a hard surface that has been previously oiled
Flatten the hot guirlache and turn it into a thin sheet
Quickly, coat a knife with oil and cut into thin strips
You must cut the guirlache quickly, because if it cools down it hardens too much and breaks when cut
