Olivera de la Sort

From Fórnoles, take the TE-V-3004 road heading towards the Nacional-232. About 800 metres along, take a track on the left-hand side, and after approximately 150 metres you will find this centuries-old olive tree.

In this locality of La Servera, from which we can observe the silhouette of the slender Baroque bell tower of the church of Fórnoles, we find a group of centuries-old olive trees of impressive size. In this case, it is a specimen whose age is estimated at 678 years. The irregular growth has caused its large, robust trunk to display very particular forms with protuberances and crevices. It has a central hollow that serves as shelter for several animal species.
