Calaceite will hold the IV Christmas Market and XXXV Olive Oil Fair on December 8th, 9th and 10th.
Programme:
Friday, 08/12/2023
- 12:30 p.m. Masterclass "DJ School" by Dj.Tites. At the sports centre.
- Followed by dancing with the electronic music session Puro Remember.
- Food truck area to eat.
- 7:00 p.m. Traditional Christmas auction by the Kalat-Zeyd Women's and Consumers' Association. At the sports centre.
Saturday, 09/12/2023
- 10:00 a.m. Fair opening.
- 10:30 a.m. Demonstration of traditional olive harvesting at La Balsa; the olives will then be taken to Plaza Santiago Vidiella for winnowing and milling by Biocalaceite.
- A sample of oil will be given to participants.
- 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Traditional vermouth aperitif: come and taste local products, by the Calaceite Parents' Association (AMPA). At the Town Hall Exchange.
- 1:00 p.m. Live radio programme by the La Comarca media group.
- 4:00 p.m. Fair closing.
- 6:00 p.m. Opening of the Fair by the Calaceite olive oil ambassador Iñaki Ellacuria and switching-on of the Christmas lights. At Plaza de España.
- 6:00 p.m. Hot chocolate by the Kalat-Zeyd Women's and Consumers' Association at the Association's stand.
- 6:15 p.m. Concert by the Music School. At Plaza de España.
- 6:30 p.m. Arrival of Santa Claus; have your photo taken with Santa, by the Calaceite AMPA. At the Town Hall Exchange.
- 8:00 p.m. Fair closing; it will continue in the leisure area.
- 8:00 p.m. Musical performance: Los del Chimbao and Pablo Líquido, by the Kintos'23 of Calaceite. At the sports centre.
- Food truck area for dinner.
Sunday, 10/12/2023
- 10:00 a.m. Fair opening.
- 11:00 a.m. Demonstration of how the traditional Coc en mel is made. At the Sant Roc Chapel.
- 12:00 p.m. Concert by the music school. At Plaza de España.
- 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Traditional vermouth aperitif: come and taste local products, by the Calaceite AMPA. At the Town Hall Exchange.
- Craft workshops will be held for the youngest.
- 1:00 p.m. Demonstration of how organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil is made using the traditional method at the Biocalaceite stand. At Plaza Santiago Vidiella.
- 5:00 p.m. Hot chocolate by the Kalat-Zeyd Women's and Consumers' Association at the Association's stand.
- 6:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. Arrival of Santa Claus; have your photo taken with Santa, by the Calaceite AMPA. At the Town Hall Exchange.
- 8:00 p.m. Fair closing.
Notes:
- The fairground will run from Plaza Santiago Vidiella through Calle de la Iglesia, Plaza España and Calle Mayor, ending at the sports centre.
- There will be a leisure area with a children's zone, food trucks, a Kintos bar and ambient music at the sports centre.
- The Organisation reserves the right to alter or cancel any of the events should circumstances so require.
