Route description
The Parrizal route is regulated; an access ticket is required to do the walk.

The first section of the Parrizal route follows an unsurfaced track. It is an 800 m walk suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs with assistance. It runs along a waymarked botanical trail where the La Fenellassa rock paintings, designated UNESCO World Heritage as part of Levantine schematic art, can be found.
At the end of the first section, at el Pla de la Mina del Parrizal, the old installations used for transporting coal from the mines can be seen.
From el Pla de la Mina the excursion proper begins, as a linear route (out and back along the same path). After these 800 metres, a wooden walkway comes into view and the route heads upstream along the river to its headwaters, reaching the Gorge — two vertical stone walls 200 metres long, 60 metres high and, at some points, just 1 metre wide.
The most challenging sections are equipped with wooden walkways fitted with handrails to keep visitors out of the water, as bathing is strictly forbidden throughout the route. The route cannot be done by bicycle, and dogs are not permitted.
Access with dogs and other animals is prohibited.
