Font de Les Aixetes in Cretas

The Font de les Aixetes, located on a picturesque slope in Cretas, is a historic rectangular-plan construction that captivates with its robust ashlar masonry and its imposing barrel vault.

Its main entrance is enhanced by a depressed round arch, inviting visitors to explore its interior. The most notable feature is the water outlet, strategically placed on the front of the slope, framed by a niche with a round arch that adds a touch of elegance to its functionality.

Beyond its primary function as a fountain, the design of the Font de les Aixetes includes a practical continuous stone bench along its other two walls, offering an idyllic spot for rest and contemplation. This detail underlines the historic consideration for the comfort of passers-by.
