The Visitor Centre of Cretas offers visitors an educational and interactive experience about the fascinating Ruta de los Íberos in Bajo Aragón. At the entrance, you will find a reception area with general information, a dual-screen interactive display and detailed information panels. We also have display stands for the sale of publications and items related to the enigmatic Iberian culture.

This cultural centre is strategically located on the ground floor of the Cultural Centre of Cretas, in the heart of the village and very close to the emblematic Plaza de España, making it easily accessible to all those interested in the local heritage.

How is the Centre of the Iberians organised?

The centre offers a tour divided into 5 small rooms, each with a different theme. It begins in Room A, which explores the origin and evolution of writing, from its earliest manifestations in Egypt and Mesopotamia to Phoenician and Greek scripts. Room B, known as the Gallery of Sounds, projects Iberian texts in a darkened room, allowing visitors to hear the sound of their reading. In Room C, Palaeohispanic and Iberian languages and scripts are explored, with an audiovisual presentation dedicated to this theme. Room D focuses on Iberian epigraphy in Bajo Aragón and its media, such as steles, coins and ceramics. It even features the reproduction of three Iberian funerary steles from different places of origin. Finally, Room E offers a space for audiovisual tourism promotion screenings, information about the Iberian archaeological site of Els Castellans with a model of its theoretical reconstruction, and an interactive table where children can write their names in Iberian letters using printed stamps. The Visitor Centre of Cretas is an ideal place to immerse yourself in the history and Iberian culture of the region.
