Sant Antoni settlement

Archaeological site from the 8th century BC. Listed as Bien de Interés Cultural (BIC, Spanish heritage listing).

Between the road from Calaceite to Cretas, 300 metres from Calaceite, signposted as an Iberian settlement.

An ideal viewpoint to enjoy agricultural landscapes with mosaics of almond, olive and vine fields among which the ochre of the soil contrasts with forest landscapes of pine and holm oak groves. These are landscapes that convey harmony between human activity and nature, all set against the backdrop of the Puertos de Beceite massif.

To the north you can see the nearby hermitage (chapel) of Sant Cristóbal, next to Calaceite. From this point there is a visual connection with other Iberian settlements: to the east Tossal Redó with the Barranco de la Vall Rovira and the hermitage of Sant Pol (Arens de Lledó) in the background, to the south Els Castellans, behind the hermitage of Santa Ana, and to the west Sant Cristóbal de Mazaleón, beside the Matarraña River.
