Route description
The Gothic art of the Matarraña falls within the so-called Gothic of the Crown of Aragon, developed during the 14th century through the early 15th century, although some later works also exist.
Along the route you will discover churches of great simplicity and austerity in their façades, with small and plain windows, some triangular or diamond-shaped windows, and in the most notable temples capitals, rose windows, corbels, gargoyles, and pointed arches.
Besides ecclesiastical works, the Gothic of the Matarraña also includes civic buildings such as the castle and the historic centre of Valderrobres, and the Molino Viejo (Old Mill) of La Fresneda.
